BRACES TURKEY AND INVISIBLE ALIGNERS

Braces Turkey is people who think about starting orthodontic treatment usually have many doubts and ask many questions when they consult an orthodontic specialist. The most common question is often about the type of device to use to correct your orthodontic problem: the answer is bellow.

Braces or Invisible (transparent) aligners?

First, keep in mind that there is no single “right way” to perform orthodontic treatment. The starting point is an accurate diagnosis, and orthodontists undergo special training in this area. After obtaining orthodontic records (x-rays, photos, and casts), the orthodontist lists problems and prepares a treatment plan. One option is not inherently better than another. The treatment approach for an individual’s correction will be determined based on the treatment goals and the patient’s lifestyle needs. However, some rules apply to all patients, regardless of the type of option for braces turkey treatments. For example, all patients must brush and floss daily and must wear retainers after treatment.

Dental Braces

1. Visibility: While there are more discreet options (such as tooth-colored braces or braces that go behind the teeth), some elements remain visible (gold-colored bands, wires, or brackets). However, you can choose the colors of the ligatures used in braces.

2. Mobility: Braces stay attached to the teeth throughout the treatment duration. The upside is that unless you consume hard and sticky foods, you cannot lose them.

3. Comfort: The placement or adjustment of dental braces can cause initial discomfort, and the wires accompanying braces can temporarily irritate oral tissues. Patients typically tolerate short-term discomfort easily. The patient usually gets used to wearing braces and may even forget they have them.

4. Hygiene: Patients undergoing this treatment need to keep their teeth, gums, and braces free from plaque and food debris so that bacteria cannot attack the tooth enamel or cause gum inflammation. To maintain oral hygiene, it is crucial to frequently brush and use dental floss daily to remove food particles and plaque. Maintaining hygiene becomes more challenging with fixed appliances compared to not using any appliances, as it requires three times the brushing time and effort.

5. Diet: Individuals wearing braces should avoid hard, sticky, and crunchy foods. Similarly, they should choose water over carbonated drinks, flavored waters, or sports drinks, as these can contain acid and sugar, both of which can harm tooth enamel.

Invisible Aligners

Invisible aligners are clear trays that apply gentle pressure to move teeth. Aligners are one of the many technological advancements making orthodontic treatment less noticeable and are one of the primary systems orthodontists use to move teeth.

1.Visibility: The trays, thin, plastic, clear covers, become nearly invisible when placed on the teeth. Clear aligners assist in guiding teeth into their proper positions. The design of aligners aims to minimize the device's appearance and better adapt to various lifestyles.

2. Mobility: Many patients appreciate that aligners are removable. Individuals can take them out briefly when eating, brushing their teeth, using dental floss, or during work or social activities. It is crucial to use them as prescribed, often meaning wearing them for at least 22 hours per day and in the correct sequence. Since they are removable, aligners can be misplaced, falling out of pockets or accidentally thrown away, for which specially designed cases are available to prevent such inconveniences.

3. Comfort: While there might be some initial discomfort when a patient transitions to a new set of aligners, this discomfort is easily overcome. Removing aligners for comfort contradicts their purpose. Aligners only work when in the mouth.

4. Hygiene: It is essential to avoid consuming alcohol-free beverages, flavored water, or any kind of sports drink while using aligners. Liquids can seep into the aligners, and if they contain acid, sugar, or both, they can quickly lead to teeth staining and extensive decay. Teeth should remain unstained when aligners are in place. As a result, the type of appliance used in orthodontic treatment is much less important than the skills of an experienced orthodontist with the training and ability to diagnose and turn it into a treatment plan that will help you or your child achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.
